13 MILES

Cinemavixion Review

In "13 Miles," a compelling narrative unfolds around the intense world of professional triathlons. The film centers on a dedicated athlete facing a pivotal moment: one last shot at the world championships, a goal demanding immense sacrifice. Parallel to his journey, the story introduces his ex-girlfriend, who embarks on her own rigorous training. Her pursuit of athletic excellence, a path she previously only observed, promises a dramatic personal confrontation. The film artfully explores themes of ambition, redemption, and the complex dynamics of past relationships set against the grueling backdrop of elite sports. The performances by Jovanna Burke, Cameron Grierson, and Sadie Silcock anchor this tale of personal striving and the potential for reconciliation or rivalry under pressure.
