11:55

Cinemavixion Review

Ari Issler's '11:55' plunges viewers into the gritty reality of a homecoming overshadowed by violence and the desperate pursuit of redemption. Victor Almanzar delivers a compelling performance as Nelson Sanchez, a Marine veteran attempting to escape the inescapable cycle of his past in a neighborhood where survival often means succumbing to the streets. The film masterfully builds tension as Nelson races against an impending threat, seeking to protect his family and forge an unlikely path to peace. Supported by strong performances from Elizabeth Rodriguez and Shirley Rumierk, and a noteworthy turn from John Leguizamo, '11:55' is a taut, character-driven drama that resonates with its unflinching portrayal of consequence and the enduring hope for a different future. Its critical acclaim, including a significant Rotten Tomatoes score, underscores its powerful narrative and skillful execution.
