1,000 DAYS FOR THE PLANET - IS IT TOO LATE TO SAVE ORANGUTAN'S?

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges viewers into the urgent plight of the orangutan, a species teetering on the brink of extinction. Set against the backdrop of Sumatra's rapidly diminishing rainforests, the film starkly illustrates the devastating impact of deforestation driven by the relentless expansion of oil palm plantations. It highlights the critical state of these critically endangered primates, whose habitats are being systematically destroyed by fire and development, threatening not only the orangutans but an entire ecosystem of biodiversity. The narrative pivots to the determined efforts of scientists and conservationists who are engaged in a challenging battle to save the remaining orangutans. Their work in rehabilitation and protection amidst a corrupt system underscores the profound challenges and the desperate hope for survival in this unequal fight for paradise.
