100 FEET

Cinemavixion Review

Eric Red's "100 Feet" plunges viewers into a claustrophobic world of domestic terror and supernatural retribution. Famke Janssen delivers a compelling performance as Marnie Watson, a woman haunted not only by the ghost of her abusive husband but also by the confines of her house arrest. The film masterfully uses its central premise – a 100-foot electronic leash – to amplify Marnie's isolation and vulnerability, creating a palpable sense of dread. While the narrative treads familiar ground in the supernatural thriller genre, Red's direction imbues the proceedings with a grim intensity. The spectral presence of Mike, fueled by a thirst for revenge, provides a genuinely menacing antagonist. Bolstered by solid supporting performances from Bobby Cannavale and Ed Westwick, "100 Feet" offers a chilling exploration of inescapable pasts and the terrifying persistence of rage, making it a noteworthy entry for fans of psychological horror.
