Pier Angeli

Pier Angeli emerged as a luminous presence in post-war Italian cinema before captivating Hollywood. Her early roles showcased a delicate beauty, but it was her portrayal of Norma Graziano opposite Paul Newman in 'Somebody Up There Likes Me' that cemented her status as a rising star. Angeli navigated both European and American productions, demonstrating versatility across dramas and epics... more like 'Sodom and Gomorrah' and 'Battle of the Bulge.' Though her career experienced fluctuations, Angeli's performances were marked by a poignant intensity, leaving a memorable, albeit brief, imprint on the cinematic landscape. less
